February 21, 2012 - Labor Relations

7:30 am - 9:00 am
Georgia Mountains Center
$15.00 for Non-Foothills Members (free for first-time guests)

This program has been pre-approved for one (1) recertification credit hour

Approved-180Our February program will focus on labor and employment law. . .

Over the past year, the National Labor Relations Board issued new rules and decisions that indicate a shift away from the Agency's previous policies - and changed the face of labor law for all employers. The scheduling of "quickie" union elections and endorsement of micro bargaining units are two of the most controversial developments. Learn how you can help your company adapt to this more hostile labor environment while avoiding litigation and maintaining a positive employee relations posture.

Our speaker will be attorney Cliff Nelson who is a partner in the Atlanta office of Constangy, Brooks & Smith. Mr. Nelson has practiced labor law on behalf of employers for more than 30 years and is National Co-Chair of the firm's Traditional Labor Practice Group.

The use of this seal is not an endorsement by the HR Certification Institute of the quality of the program.  It means that this program has met the HR Certification Institute's criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit.
