In fact, research shows that seven out of ten students who have had an internship with an employer are hired by that same employer. Connecting college students with SHRM employers helps to ensure that top students will continue to pursue a career in HR.
To support this goal, Internships.com and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) are working together by helping employers and students connect with each other through internships. Through this partnership, SHRM’s members can utilize the world’s largest internship marketplace and gain access to the tools and resources necessary to expand the HR talent community – at no cost.

The Foothills of GA SHRM Chapter has established a scholarship program to foster excellence in human resources by encouraging and assisting in the professional development of students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resources Management at an accredited college or university in Northeast Georgia.
Scholarship(s) will be awarded up to a total of $1500.00 per school year. The award may be used for undergraduate studies and will be paid in one lump sum made payable to the student.
Scholarship receipients are selected on the basis of potential to succeed, school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of education and career goals, personal or family circumstances, and outside recommendations. Selection of receipients is made by an the Chapter Board.
The program is independently managed by the Chapter and the awards are given without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability and national origin.
