Membership Information

What is the difference between membership in the Foothills of Georgia Chapter and the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)?

Even though the Foothills of Georgia SHRM Chapter is affiliated with National SHRM, membership in both organizations is separate. Over 66% of the Foothills of Georgia Chapter are members of both organizations. Being members of both organizations allows members to stay abreast of national topics and information, as well as take advantage of further professional support and developmental services at that level.

Memberships are individual only, not corporate, and are not transferable. Membership in National SHRM is not required.

Memberships are for one calendar year and yearly dues are payable by December 31 for the following year.

To achieve the mission of the Chapter, there will be no discrimination in individual memberships because of race, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran's status, or any other legally protected class.

Member fees for 2010 are:

$125.00/year initial member (pro-rated by quarter joined for new member)

$63.00/year each additional member from same company (pro-rated by quarter joined for new member)

Renewals are not pro-rated.
